You will need to enroll in the Medicaid ePREP online system.
ePREP is Maryland Medicaid’s online portal where you can sign up to become an approved Maryland Medicaid doula. Only doulas enrolled and approved in ePREP can be reimbursed for services provided to Maryland Medicaid beneficiaries.
Go to the ePREP website. Doulas can enroll in three ways: as a doula collective (group practice), as an individual associated with a group (called a ‘rendering provider’), or as a solo (individual) provider. Follow the instructions that corresponds with your situation.
You will need the following things:
Your birth and postpartum certification
Your individual addendum (or group addendum) attesting to doula insurance and a cleared background check
Your NPI number(s)
Your SDAT number (if applying as a business)
Your W-9 form
For more help on ePREP, visit ePREP Instructions & Training Website, email mdh.providerenrollment@maryland.gov or call the ePREP call center: 1-844-463-7768. There are also ePREP webinars available on the Doula Provider Information website.
